One of the first race weekends of the year was the Swamp Classic in Gainesville Florida. This weekend includes the first team and individual time trials. The time trial is considered the race of truth because it is the rider against the clock. The Green team traveled 2 hours north to see what type of damage they could do.
In the Cat 3s Roy Foley took 4th missing out on a podium spot by less then 1 second. Chip put in a strong performance with a 6th place finish. John Manwaring was 12th and Ron Stenger took 16th. The entire Cat 3 team did a great job and secured a lot of team points.
For the Cat 4s Jonathan Stewart scored a 2nd place finish to help put the Cat 4 team on the map.
Later in the day was the team time trial. This event showed the power of the Cat 3 team with Roy, Chip, Ron and John putting in a awesome performance taking 1st place by almost 30 seconds against a strong field of riders.
